God's Abundant Life: Sarah Best's Testimony

The Lord was so gentle and kind to me during my post partum months and reminded me daily that He would never leave my side.

I spent several months battling post partum depression after both my girls were born and the most powerful weapon I used was speaking the Word of God out loud in my home.

I had a ringlet of my most cherished verses and when sadness and loneliness tried to overwhelm my thoughts, I would grab those Scripture cards and just start declaring God’s Word over me, my family and my home.

Many days would start with John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

I knew God had a full and whole life for me and even when it felt incredibly sad dealing with post partum depression I still trusted His intentions for my life were good. It was a faith walk each day, but one day I finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m so thankful to have had Jesus and His word by side.

Hold close to Him and proclaim His truth daily. His word is sharper than any two-edged sword and will pierce through the darkness you may be experiencing.
